We are pleased to announce that we will once again be hosting our four summer camps in August.

August 5 - 9  at the Leduc Recreation Centre
August 5 - 9 at Tri Leisure Center in Spruce Grove
August 19 - 23 at Servus Place in St. Albert
August 19 - 23 at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park

University Ringette Camp Instructors

Are you looking to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment for three weeks this summer? Great! We are looking for 15 University or 18+ talented, ambitious,  and hard-working ringette players who want to be leaders at the University Ringette Summer Camp 2023. This camp runs from August 5-9 and 19-23. We require a 2-week commitment as it is such a short seasonal position. Training will be conducted in July, with dates to be determined. Locations include Servus Place in St. Albert, Leduc Rec Center in Leduc, Millenium Place in Sherwood Park, and Tri Leisure Center in Spruce Grove. Application deadline May 1, 2024. Camps are five full days in duration, 9 AM - 4 PM, daily including Spruce Grove.

Summer Ringette Skills Development Camps are for U-10 through U-16 aged players. Each age group is limited to 34 participants (30 skaters and 4 goalies) to ensure a very favorable student/instructor ratio, which is the hallmark of our Summer Ringette camps.

 

It is important to note that UR Summer Ringette Skills Development Camps are not designed, nor intended, to solely be conditioning camps. While a high activity level is present in many areas of the camps, the main focus is to develop and improve ringette skills, as well as contribute to the overall development of the athlete. The camps include two ice times daily, dryland sessions, Thursday swimming activity (where available), confidence/leadership activities, and team building exercises. The afternoon ice time will be dedicated to a power skating component and will be taught by a certified power skating instructor. 

 

All other areas of the camps will be taught by active Ringette players. With an average of 15 years of playing experience, summer camp instructors are some of the most skilled ringette players in Canada today and are equipped with a wealth of ringette knowledge that will undoubtedly improve any young player's ringette skills. Many of our instructors are current and past National Ringette League players and some have even competed at the National level. Ringette players are great role models for your daughter, demonstrating firsthand that excellence in athletics, academics, and professional occupations can go hand in hand. 

 

There will be a goalie instructor on hand at the camps to work with any individuals wishing to receive goaltending instruction. Only 4 registrations per age group will be accepted for this specialized area.
